| TENTH STATION Jesus is Stripped of His Garments |
| (Genuflecting) We adore you, 0 Christ, and we praise You. Because by Your holy Cross You have redeemed the world. Consider the violence with which Jesus was stripped by the executioners. As His inner garments had adhered to His torn flesh, they dragged them off so roughly that the skin came with them. (Pause for silent prayer.) My most innocent Jesus! By the merits of the torments You felt, help me to strip myself of all affection to things of earth, that I may place all my love in You, who alone are so worthy of my love. I love You, 0 Jesus above all things; I repent with my whole heart of having offended You. Never permit me to separate myself from You again. Grant that I may love You always, and then do with me what You will. Our Father ... , Hail Mary ... , Glory be to the Father... 0 Jesus! Who for love of me... Make me feel as thou hast felt; Make my soul to glow and melt With the love of Christ my Lord. __________ |
